New York: Martin and Johnson, [c. 1850]. Three Quarter Leather. 516, 604 pp. 4to. 230 Engravings. Three quarter brown leather binding with brown cloth inset into front panels, gold embossed titling to spine. Light wear overall to covers and spine. Marbled endpapers with very light foxing to prelims. Many of the tissue guards facing plates have darkened but it has not impacted the plates themselves. Very Good.
A thorough and heavily illustrated dictionary that must have been a valuable reference tool for architects and builders in the 19th century.
