A very scarce volume, in dust jacket, that chronicles the Jewish soldier's experience in World War II via letters home. Of particular note was a number of letters from novelist Leon Uris (1924-2003) on pp. 223-225 and is recognized as Uris' first published work. He began to write seriously in the 1950s, publiishing his most famous novel, "Exodus" in 1958.
