Inscription in German on title page and dated October 1950. Otherwise, very clean within. Contains 180 illustrations/photographs on the 165 plates. Text in German. Very Good.
Roughly translated, the title in English would be "Modern Shopfitting: Exterior and Interior Design". An important documentation of the Art Moderne movement in Germany which had a marked impact on retail design, as it did in France and the United States. Dozens of architects and designers are listed, the most prominent being Erich Mendelsohn (1887-1953) for his design of Geschäftshaus Herrich Söhne on Plates 110-115.
