Charles Morton (1627-1698) was an English minister and education who emigrated to the United States in 1686 and the following year publsihed his early textbook on astronomy and physics, "Compendium Physicae" (1687). This is the 1940 reprinting of that early publication with an brief sketch of the life of Charles Morton by Samuel Eliot Morison.
