Linda Greenlaw returns to Islesboro on July 18th for the fourth time to talk about her new book, Lifesaving Lessons: Notes from an Accidental Mother, something of a sequel to her previous book about life on Isle au Haut, The Lobster Chronicles. When a teenager and her uncle move to the island it isn’t too long before the islanders realize something is wrong in the relationship. The abusive uncle leaves, and Linda becomes the young woman’s guardian and an Accidental Mother. (Please note that this signing will be held one hour early at 1:30 p.m. as Linda has a signing in Bar Harbor later in the day.) It will be a great time to catch up with Linda and see what she has been up to since her last visit three years ago.
