A number of years ago we hosted a talk and signing with Patrisha McLean, she’s back this summer with a wonderful book of her photography entitled My Island: Portraits of Maine Island Children on July 23rd. In her book, McLean focuses on Islesboro, Vinalhaven and North Haven with arresting black & white portraits of both year ‘round and summer children and quotes of their take on growing up on islands and island life. If not your child, your friends’ and neighbors’ children are in this book. You won’t want to miss it or a chance to meet Patrisha and learn about this multi-year project.
